On September 20, a broad majority voted in favor of a social, solidarity-based policy – the coalition of the CDU and SPD was voted down. Now it is up to the SPD, the Greens, and the Left to make the political change possible. We urge them to: Take up this mandate. Sign the petition and make the pressure visible.

A city for all – All for a city.
Berlin faces major challenges: rents are rising, many people feel that politicians are not taking them seriously, and important decisions are made without the urban community. At the same time, people everywhere are campaigning for affordable housing, better schools and fairer mobility.
That’s why BerlinZusammen exists. During the election for the House of Representatives, we got involved – with concrete demands and for a solidarity-based change in politics. Now we are ensuring that the change that Berlin voted for will actually happen.
Our 5 demands
We have contacted all the direct candidates of the Democratic parties. We make candidates who publicly support our demands visible – so that you know who is fighting for a solidarity change in politics.

To achieve this, we bring together initiatives, activists and neighbourhoods. BerlinZusammen includes people who have been politically active for a long time – as well as many who are getting involved for the first time. We are united by the desire to make Berlin a place worth living in for everyone by getting involved together.
We’ll stick with it.
The election campaign is over; our work is not. We knocked on 5,000 doors and spoke with hundreds of people in Lichtenberg, Pankow, Treptow-Köpenick and Tempelhof. Now we are ensuring that the change that Berlin voted for will actually happen.

Where we come from.
We have been working for over a year to make the House of Representatives election a turning point for Berlin politics. Here is how we have worked:
Structure and strategy
Establishment of coordination circle, working groups and association structure. Analysis of key constituencies (focus on tipping swing districts in East and West Berlin) and development of concrete demands with a focus on housing, public transport, schools and inclusion.
Mobilisation & party outreach
Building local groups in focus areas and mobilizing teams across Berlin. Presence on the ground. Addressing candidates and parties: Who stands behind our demands?
Active election campaign
House door-to-door campaigning in focus constituencies. Active support for candidates who have stood behind our demands. And afterwards: public pressure for a change in policy.
