That is what it is all about

A city for all – All for a city.

Berlin faces major challenges: rents are rising, many people feel that politicians are not taking them seriously, and important decisions are made without the urban community. At the same time, people everywhere are campaigning for affordable housing, better schools and fairer mobility.

That is why BerlinZusammen exists. In 2026, a new House of Representatives will be elected — we want this to be a turning point for a new kind of politics. We are intervening in the election with our campaign: with concrete demands, for candidates who publicly commit to them and are subsequently prepared to fight for them.

Our 5 demands

Punish rent gouging!
Consistently crack down on vacant properties, holiday lets and extortionate rents
Whoever lives in Berlin belongs to Berlin!
Registration, participation and political involvement for all
Make public transport affordable
Make corporations pay, introduce the 9-euro ticket
Opportunities instead of exclusion
comprehensive school up to year 10/13 as a mainstream school
Implement the referendum
„Expropriate Deutsche Wohnen & Co.“ — the will of 1 million Berliners for the socialisation of large real estate corporations

That's what we have the city agreement developed: candidates who commit to implementing our demands will be actively supported by us in their election campaign.

To do this, we bring together initiatives, activists and neighbourhoods. At BerlinZusammen, there are people who have been politically active for a long time – as well as many who are getting involved for the first time.

We are united by the desire to make Berlin worth living in for everyone by getting involved together.

Where we stand

Our plan until the election.

1

Autumn 2025 – Spring 2026

Structure and strategy

Establishment of coordination circle, working groups and association structure. Analysis of key constituencies (focus on tipping swing districts in East and West Berlin) and development of concrete demands with a focus on housing, public transport, schools and inclusion.

2

Mobilisation & party outreach

Building local groups in focus districts and city-wide mobilisation teams. On-the-ground presence. Approaching candidates and parties: Who will make a binding commitment to our demands?

3
Now

Active election campaign

Door-to-door campaigning in key constituencies. Active support for candidates with binding commitments. During coalition negotiations: public pressure.

We are entering the final straight.
Just a few days left for a progressive majority in Berlin.

We want a solidary majority in Berlin. To achieve this, we are fighting above all in the focus constituencies for progressive candidates – and going to the doors to make a difference. Against the politics of fear from the right. For a solidary Berlin. Well prepared, with a clear plan. Everyone is welcome.
